Priya Konings is a freelance food and travel writer and photographer in the DC area. Her passions include writing and photography, traveling the world, and eating delicious vegetarian fare both locally and globally. Priya was bitten by the travel bug when she was just six months old, which is when she went on her first adventure with her parents. Since then she has been wine tasting in Tuscany, hiking in Macchu Picchu, and camping in the Sahara, hot air ballooning in Cappadoccia. She has seen the sunrise over the Himalayas and the sunset over Mont Blac. Some of her favorite memories include eating tacos with friends from a street food stand in Mexico City, sampling fresh arepas in Cartengena with her husband, and indulging in pisco sours in Lima with her sister. Having visited nearly 60 countries, she can provide advice on where to go, what to do and everything to eat! She currently lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and her two adorable cats.
